Probably should not have come in to work today after seeing the doctor. It's a virus (so no antibiotics), the only way it's going to get better is by resting up.
However, I'm taking Thursday off to spend with
andveryginger and her hubs who are in Sydney this week after finishing a cruise around NZ, and I have work that still needs doing at work. So, work it is.
I think that all my other night-time activities this week are cancelled, with perhaps the exception of Friday night dinner with the family. At which I shall have to remember not to use my personal utensils to scoop food out of the communal dishes.
Also, this just in: having dithered on a sign-off for the project for three months (with a ridiculous number of individual items still yet to be signed off considering we started the 'basic testing' phase just this week), the client's project director has authorised a Change Request...so long as we can have it ready in two weeks.
...
That's 13 interfaces in less than 10 working days. (It's already Tuesday.)
This project director has no sense of scale or of anyone other than herself and what she thinks is due her.
Best description for it is probably "nobliesse without the oblige".
I hate dealing with people like that.
Unit sale goes through in three weeks. Mortgage discharge papers are in the hands of my solicitors. On one hand, it's kind of good to have it out of my hair at last; on the other...it's a little scary. Next phase of life upcoming!
