My cat hasn't been eating much for the last few days. She's eaten and drunk almost nothing in the last 24 hours.
I'm supposed to be taking her in to the vet in four hours' time (first appointment I could get since the vet is presently in surgery). But now I'm fretting because I've read sites that say that when they stop eating and drinking, organ failure can follow very fast.
She's shrunk a lot in the last few days. And her appetite's been off for a while - we thought it was the heat, but then she started refusing to eat anything.
And I can't reach my parents, who might be able to get her to another vet sooner.
eta: Got cat to vet okay. She had a little to drink when I got home, but the vet's going to keep her overnight to monitor her and get an IV drip with some glucose and liquid into her. She's lost about 0.5kg, but she was only 3.5 to begin with. *is a little anxious*
Thanks to all the people who sent well-wishes. They were really appreciated.
