Parentals have come down with COVID. Positive result this morning.

Mum came by to drop something off on Wednesday, and we chatted for a minute outside before she left, after hugging me.

B1 was over there all yesterday. B2 was over here last night and is back again today (B2's reasoning: if everyone is going to have covid, including her, then she's going to at least see people instead of be isolated).

I'm feeling no worse than usual - the tired, slightly sore throat, occasional headaches, etc. are standard; but the sore throat does seem sharper. Might just be psychosomatic, though; I always feel more acutely when I need to take a COVID test.

Of course, of all the weeks that this had to happen, it would be right before my cruise week off. Basically, if you test positive up to ten days before, then they won't let you on. And you need to show a negative test done either 72 hours before (PCR) or 24 hours before (RAT).

Anyway, got a PCR done this morning, am not going to the permaculture group local party tonight. If the result comes back negative and within 12 hours, I'll get another one done as late as possible on Sunday to be as sure as possible that I don't have it before boarding on Monday.

ETA: result - NEGATIVE.
