I don't know if it's that I don't get enough sleep or that I don't get enough good sleep or it's the cold and the weather or what. I'm just tired all the time lately.

I think I may need to go around all the windows and run a thin line of sealant along the lintel tops. I'm finding gaps that are suggesting serious air leakage. It would be another explanation for why this room loses heat so damn fast (apart from the fact that there's probably big gaps under the skirting boards, and the big hole for the internet cords to come in).

--

Went for a grumpy little run this morning. Ate a banana, drank a very short black, ate a slice of pizza. Actually not feeling quite so tired after all, so maybe a grumpy run first thing in the morning is a pick-me-up!

Weekend is looking pretty quiet. A friend's birthday lunch on Saturday, hockey on Sunday. They haven't yet asked me to goalie for Team 1 or play for Team 3. But those messages will probably come today, if they do.

I need to chip a whole lot of wood that I've been collecting the last couple of months, and I think the only thing that's going to do it is hiring a semi-industrial chipper, because some of those branches are kinda big...but then that requires having a towbar to pull it with, or paying about as much as the hire over again in order to have it delivered.

Maybe I could borrow the parental car for the delivery? *sigh* Not ideal.

Also, I need to get a towbar on my car in any case. Either self-install, or get someone to install it.

sleep + cold + the general world news fatigue could definitely Be Enough all on its own! Having said that, have you had your iron checked recently?

When I moved to North Dakota, the house I lived in had a hole for the internet cable to come into the house. The hole was several times bigger than the cable, and there was nothing in the gap around it. This is coming in to the finished basement. Who does that? Especially in North Dakota! Besides letting 40-below air inside the house during the winter, it was big enough that a small mouse could have squeezed through.

I'm glad the grumpy run picked you up!

I come home and just want a nap. I think it's because there is so much crap that is going on at the office since the boss at the City job left suddenly. I'm coping, but it's really not the quiet calm I was used to before. (sigh)

I hate being cold, so I completely understand the desire to fill in cracks. All our doors have cracks around them, which not only let in cold air in the winter, but bugs in the summer. (sigh)
