EXCHANGE INTERFACE

Hello dear Trick-or-Treat author!

This is my first year in ToT, so this letter may not be what you're expecting. I've listed the fandom and characters we've matched on, then added relationships (optional), and prompts (also optional). They're really just places for you to start - something to catch your eye, perhaps, or something to challenge you.

I don't mind if it's a trick or a treat, take it light and fluffy, or take it dark - just keep in mind that while I don't mind a good dark/edgy story, I like there to be a little leavening at the end, a little hope!

In these canons, I'd prefer the story didn't have a specific Halloween slant, especially given that Rogue One, Pacific Rim, Merlin, and Stargate Atlantis happen in canon situations where Halloween would likely be less celebrated. (Also: I'm Australian: Halloween is becoming more popular here, but it's not a patch on the megaholiday status in the US.)

Do Not Wants:
- character death
- slash (I have specific slash pairings and preferred portrayals, and it's safer just to nix it)
- hopeless, downer endings (there should always be a little light at the end of the tunnel, even in a dark fic)

Likes:

- alternate universes: what-ifs and fusions both (particularly fond of Pacific Rim, Black Jewels, daemons, and Changelings/vampires)

Marvel Cinematic Universe
Pepper Potts, Maria Hill, Steve Rogers
Relationships I like involving these characters: Pepper & Maria, Pepper/Tony, Pepper & Rhodey, Maria/Steve, Maria/Bucky, Maria & Steve, Maria & Pepper, Maria & Bucky (okay, so basically Maria & Anyone), Steve & Sam.
Prompt ideas:
- post-Civil War, Maria picking up the pieces, with or without Pepper's help, perhaps with Steve defending his choices.
- alternative Civil War, Maria and Pepper are involved.
- how relationships develop: the little things that make friendships - a cup of tea, a conversation about everything or nothing, shared exasperation, shared amusement
- BAMF Maria Hill orchestrating anything and/or anyone in the MCU.
- post-Extremis Pepper Potts dealing with what happened to her (perhaps also working with Rhodey through his trauma post-Civil War)
- Steve as the lone male on a team full of superhero women
- Steve and Sam's friendship at any point in canon


Stargate Atlantis

Prompt ideas:
- moments that make you: the events that change your life
- Teyla/John and getting off Earth at the end of the TV series (something post-series)
- one of the Earth people learning something new about Pegasus with Teyla or Ronon
- Teyla, Ronon, and a Wraith trapped in a tight spot: what happens next?
- Laura Cadman, she vanishes after S2, what happens to her? Does she go back to the SGC and encounter Sam? What if she comes back to Atlantis and hangs out with Ronon?
- Sam Carter, commander of the George Hammond; she's been and done and seen so much - and there's a whole new galaxy to explore...


Stargate Sg1

Relationships I like involving these characters: Sam/Jack, Jack & Teal’c, Sam & Anyone, Cam & Vala, Teal’c & Vala.
Prompt ideas:
- Any ‘slice of life’ fic involving these characters interaction at work, outside work, at home.
- Sam/Jack, little moments after the series, perhaps Sam’s homecoming after her return from Atlantis?
- Vala and Teal’c: aliens on Earth – add Jonas Quinn, Teyla, Ronon, any other alien regulars who’ve appeared on the show over the years…
- Vala and anyone, really - mischief makers (note the plural, it's not just Vala)


Merlin
Gwen, Morgana, Merlin, Arthur, Vivian, Elena
Relationships I like involving these characters: Gwen/Arthur, Gwen & Any and all permutations with the matched characters.
Prompt ideas:
- Gwen discovers Merlin’s magic.
- Gwen dealing with Morgana and magic.
- Gwen and female friendships – Vivian or Elena or Morgana.
- Gwen and Arthur: married life, the complexities of their relationship, etc.
- Queen Gwen and Court Sorcerer Merlin: they may no longer be servants, but they’re still firm friends


Agents of SHIELD
Akela Amador, Melinda May, Maria Hill, Skye | Daisy Johnson,
Relationships I like involving these characters: Any and all friendship between these women and/or other characters in the series/MCU.
Prompt ideas:
- Melinda and Maria: missions they survived, missions that failed, Melinda teaching Maria how to be badass, Maria trying to reach Melinda after Bahrain
- Akela and Maria: badass field agent, badass operations agent, get the hell out of their way, because they have zero fucks to give…
- take them all on a field trip, doing something in the post-CW world, trying to hold everything together, on a mission
- Skye and Akela: I’d really love something about these two working together, Skye’s early casualness compared with Akela’s reserve


Sanctuary
Kate Freelander, Helen Magnus, Bigfoot, Ashley Magnus, Will Zimmerman, Henry Foss
Relationships I like involving these characters: Kate/Will, all friendships with Kate, all friendships between these characters.
Prompt ideas:
- Kate/Will, getting together, before, during, or after the series
- Kate & Ashley may never have met in canon, but they were both pretty kickass and dangerous, and I’d love to see them working a mission for some reason or another.
- all the Sanctuary team fun, mysteries, interactions, snark (Kate and Henry snark is magnificent)
- Bigfoot and Helen – the relationship they’ve developed over the years, understanding, Helen learning better than her Victorian Ways.


Angel the Series
Faith, Wesley
Relationships I like involving these characters: Faith/Wes, Faith & the Fang Gang, Wes & the Fang Gang
Prompt ideas:
- Faith hanging out with the Fang Gang in S5
- Faith/Wes, the post-slaying hornies
- Wes and his place among the Fang Gang, who he was, who he became, what part Angel, Faith, and the Fang Gang had in that.
- What if Wes dies at the end of Angel, but a dozen years later, he's suddenly dragged back alive again (like Buffy was), and has to deal with a much older, much colder world?
- Faith and Wes: Slayer and Watcher, working together...


Rogue One

Relationships I like involving these characters: Jyn/Cassian, Chirrut/Baze, any friendship between these characters, or with the other characters in the Rogue One or New Hope canons, excepting imperials.
Prompt Ideas:
- Everyone Lives AU: Jyn/Cassian and tactility, intimacy, friendship in the middle of a war
- Jyn/Cassian: what it means to love and live with a woman who’s wanted on multiple worlds, what it means to love and live with a man who has blood on his hands for the cause.
- Jyn and Lyra – Lyra survives, or Lyra’s perspective on her daughter, on Saw Gerrera and the Partisans, on the Rebellion?
- Chirrut/Baze: together since their youth, or finding each other in middle age?
- any team bonding – including Bodhi and K2SO if you like!


Pacific Rim
Mako Mori, Raleigh Becket
Relationships I like involving these characters: Mako/Raleigh, Mako & any character, Raleigh & Pentecost, Raleigh & Herc.
Prompt Ideas:
- post-movie, rebuilding, redeveloping, renewing
- the Drift is not Destiny - how Mako and Raleigh actually learn about each other and get together
- Raleigh and Herc: both of them have Drifted twice, do they share experiences? Or do they not talk about it at all?


DC Cinematic Universe
Bruce Wayne, Diana Prince, Etta Candy, Antiope, Philippus, Isabel Maru, Hippolyta
Relationships I like involving these characters: Bruce/Diana, Bruce & Alfred, Alfred & Diana, Diana & Etta, Diana & Antiope, Diana & Philippus, Diana & Isabel Maru, Diana & Hippolyta, Hippolyta & Antiope & Philippus, Antiope/Menalippe
Prompt Ideas:
- Diana and Bruce in that interim period between BvS and JL movie, working together, becoming friends.
- Diana and Alfred, friendship and drollness (Irons’ Alfred is wonderfully sarcastic.)
- Alfred matchmaking Bruce/Diana (someone to make an ‘honest man’ of Bruce, as he mutters in BvS)
- Etta and Diana in post-war London, future histories together, or during World War II?
- Any of the Amazons (including Diana or not), life on Themiscyra, lessons learned, what wars did the Amazons see, and how did they fight them? What stories do they tell Diana?
- Any of the Amazons: after Diana leaves the island, what do the other Amazons do – do they prepare for war? Do they mourn her? Do they work out a way to watch her progress through the world?
- Diana and Isabel Maru: Diana spares Dr. Maru for herself, not for Isabel. How does this affect Isabel? Does it?
