So, something both cheerful and doleful:
I got my Amazon order this afternoon!
- Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon
- Magic Under Glass by Jaclyn Dolamore
- A Wizard of Mars by Diane Duane
- Naamah's Kiss by Jacqueline Carey
And just spent 15 minutes reading the start of Magic Under Glass, barely noticing that the heater was burning my legs until I moved away. That was how engrossing it was.
Alas, for I have...15K + 25K = 40K of words to write in the next three weeks for two stories that are only just formed in my head. I was hoping to finish the 15K one this week. Yeah, that's gonna be...interesting. (Dear Morgana, please cough up. No, really, I'm giving you rein to POV all you like. Please do.)
And three new books (and one I'd already read)! Good books, too! Doling them out is never going to work, either. Some people struggle with just one piece of chocolate; I struggle with just one chapter of a book. One chapter at a time is most unnatural, IMO.
